Terms of Use & Acceptable Use

Lock It
Package: com.appfactory.calculator
Terms version 4.0.8 · Effective September 20, 2026
Publisher: App Factory · support@afserver.dev
Companion: Privacy Policy · Account deletion

Short version: Use the app lawfully. The calculator opens a private vault via your secret equation. Skip is allowed for a local vault only. Messages, groups, and Discover need a Google or email account. We cannot recover a forgotten equation. The app is provided as-is. We may change or stop features, and we may suspend or remove access — including kicking a user or a group — at any time, with or without notice. Be respectful in Messages, groups, and Discover. CSAE and CSAM are banned.

1. Agreement

By accepting the Privacy Gate (first open) you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Continued use after we post an update to these Terms is agreement to the update. We may change these Terms at any time. The version date at the top is current.

2. The product

The store listing and the Android home screen use the name Lock It and a vault-door icon. This is a private vault with calculator entry — not a calculator-only utility that hides a second product.

We may add, change, limit, or remove any feature, limit, price (through Google Play), storage, credit, group, or cloud offering at any time. We do not promise the app will stay available, stay the same, or keep any particular file, chat, group, or credit forever.

3. Eligibility

You must be 13+ (or older where your region requires a higher digital-consent age).

4. Account

First open: agree to these Terms, then Google, email, or Skip. Skip is a local Freemium vault only. Messages, groups, Discover, and Encrypted Cloud need Google or email later. You are responsible for keeping credentials and your equation secure. You may delete cloud account data in Settings or via account-deletion.html.

5. Acceptable use

Use in-app Report and Block (separate buttons) for safety issues. We review reports and take action when we have actual knowledge of a violation — including removing content, kicking a user, unpublishing a card, or deleting a group. Confirmed CSAM is reported to NCMEC Cybertip or your local child-safety authority. Child-safety contact for Google Play: support@afserver.dev.

6. Suspension, kicks, and removal

Lock It is a private service. To the fullest extent the law allows, we may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account, your access to Messages, groups, Discover, cloud locker, live calls, credits, or any other part of the app at any time, for any reason or no reason, with or without notice, and without explaining our decision to you. That includes removing you from a group, removing a group you created, unpublishing a Discover card, deleting cloud files or extra circles, or refusing future access.

We are not required to give a warning, a refund (except where Google Play or the law requires one), or a chance to appeal. Group creators may also remove members from their own circles under in-app controls. Our rights here do not require us to monitor everything users post.

7. User content (Messages, groups & Discover)

7a. Child safety

Lock It is 13+ and is not directed at children. We explicitly prohibit Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) and Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), including grooming, sexualization of a minor, and trafficking of a child. After actual knowledge of CSAM we remove it from our service as far as we can (transfer copies, Discover listings, group metadata) and report confirmed CSAM to NCMEC or the relevant regional authority. Google Play may reach the child-safety contact at support@afserver.dev.

8. Purchases, credits & ads

9. Security, equation & lost vault

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not responsible for loss of the equation, loss of vault contents, loss of chats or groups, loss of credits, loss of cloud files, or any other data loss, whether from user error, device failure, OS update, our bugs, our changes to the app, or ending the service.

10. As-is · no warranty

THE APP AND ALL RELATED SERVICES ARE PROVIDED AS IS AND AS AVAILABLE, WITH ALL FAULTS. We disclaim all warranties to the fullest extent the law allows, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that encryption will stop a determined attacker, malware, a compromised phone, forensics, or legal process. Calculator math is not warranted for engineering, medical, or other critical use.

Third-party services we use (for example Google Play, Firebase, Cloudflare, AdMob, weather providers) have their own terms. We are not those companies and we do not warrant their service.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, App Factory and its people are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost vault contents, lost credits, business interruption, or substitute services, even if we were told they were possible.

Our total liability for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount you paid us for Lock It through Google Play in the three months before the claim, or zero if you paid nothing — except where the law does not allow that cap (for example some liability for death, personal injury, or fraud).

Some places do not allow certain disclaimers. In those places, our liability is limited to the maximum the law allows. These Terms do not take away rights that a consumer-protection law says you cannot waive.

12. Your responsibility

You agree to defend and hold App Factory harmless from claims that arise from your content, your groups, your Discover card, or your use of the app in a way that breaks these Terms or the law, except to the extent we caused the claim by our own willful misconduct.

13. Feedback

If you send ideas or Features & Fixes notes, we may use them without paying you or crediting you. Do not send your equation.
